I pretty much only use National for my car rentals. Status actually means something there and I’ve gotten used to choosing better cars from their aisle. There are plenty of codes floating around to bring down the price. And they have the best rental promo every year.
If you’ve somehow avoided National status until now, here are a few ways to get it:
- If possible, match from Hertz or Avis.
- Have an Amex Platinum card.
- Have any World Elite MasterCard (Virgin Atlantic, Hawaiian Airlines, Citi Prestige, Barclays Arrival, Citi ThankYou, or some Citi American card types).
