Wednesday’s Stuff

  • Up to 40,000 Citi ThankYou points for checking accounts.
  • Multiple readers emailed to say $500 Visa gift cards are back in their local Office Depots. This has spread quickly so you should look first thing in the morning. It’s one of the best things going. An easy way to meet minimum spends and 5 times the points with Chase Ink cards. Unload easily with your Bluebird cards.
  • If you’re going to Office Depot, try to pick up your free book of stamps with any $75 purchase.
  • I got the result of my Global Entry interview. I’m approved! It should be a huge time and headache-saver on international trips. And the TSA Precheck will be great on domestic flights. Looking forward to keeping my laptop in the bag and shoes on my feet!

Uber Keeps Giving Away Money

For anyone tired of Uber deals, this is the last one I’ll post for a while. But wait, why would anyone hate free cash? This time is more than in the past…45 bucks. This is for new members, but just sign up a different email address from a spouse, friend, child, etc.

  1. Sign up for Uber. Before July 7, this gets you $20.
  2. Get a code from Amazon Local here. That’s another $25.
  3. Enter the code in the Promotions sections on the Uber website.
It’s just so easy. Your household really should have at a couple Uber accounts by now.

Yo Canadians

I’ve gotten a few requests from our neighbors up north. They want to know when good credit cards come up  too. So, for you Canadians, here’s a 15,000-mile option from Cathay Pacific.

Google Reader

For those who view the blog on Google Reader, it looks like that’s not an option anymore. Will try to find a good replacement asap.

Free Uber $35

They say you have to eat something 7 times if you’re training yourself to like the taste. On that note, I’ve talked about Uber around 6 times now. If you haven’t tried it and keep riding in cabs, I don’t know what you’re doing. Uber is a little more expensive, so this free money should be a no-brainer. Get a $25 certificate free here, and when that’s done, get $10 for signing up for Uber here. New members only. Enjoy your weekend. MileNerd out.
