More Miles For Wine

I recently posted how you can make 5,000 Delta SkyMiles for wine purchases. A reader pointed out that you can also earn US Airways miles here. Personally, I’ll be waiting to see if there’s another Grand Slam promotion before ordering my wine.

Bank Of America Is Still So Sneaky

I applied for the 25,000-mile Alaska Airlines card recently and it turns out, even mileage geeks like me miss the small print sometimes. Apparently, the advertised bonus is for Visa Signature accounts, but you might randomly get approved for a Platinum Plus account instead (like I was). The bonus? An unimpressive 5,000 miles. Bank of America has also been known to do this with their Hawiian Airlines card, so apply for either of these at your own risk.

5,000 American Express Points

If you have an Amex card with Membership Rewards points, click here and try and snag 5,000 of the easiest points you’ll ever get. It won’t work for everyone, but some will get a big bonus just signing up for the pay over time option. You don’t have to actually use the feature. This deadline was extended to December 30.
