Ever Had An American Express Card?

I didn’t have one for a long time. I thought they were weirdo credit cards that didn’t work in most stores. Fortunately, I can admit when I’m wrong. I’m the weirdo, not the card. The Amex Premier Rewards Gold Card is one of the best things in my wallet. Why?

    My Newest Credit Card

As I’ve talked about, I tend to follow a 91 day credit card “churning” cycle. (Translation: I apply for a new batch of credit cards every 3 months). Each cycle is limited to 1 card per bank – 1 Amex, 1 Chase, 1 Citibank, 1 Bank of America, 1 Barclays, etc.

The problem is, most of the best offers are from Chase. I can only apply for a new Chase card every 3 months, so I have to choose carefully.
I decided to postpone my “churn” this time and just apply for one card. Drumroll please…
It’s the Chase Southwest Visa. The bonus is 50,000 miles, which should be good for 2 round-trip flights. If you haven’t gotten a Chase card for a while, the link is here. Annual fee is not waived for the first year.
