United Months of Miles – Finally Posting

If you took part in United’s Months of Miles promotion, you’ll be happy to learn that I finally got my gift card purchases to post today. We’ve waited over 2 months, but it looks like it will finally work out for us!

For those who missed out, this was probably the best promotion of the year. I received a postcard in the mail telling me I’d get 1,000 United Airlines miles for every 2 purchases made through the United Airlines shopping mall. I ended up buying 400 gift cards. If all works out, this will be a whopping 200,000 mile payday. Rare promotions like this are the main reason to check the blog daily…the deal reached a peak September 9th when we had one day to make unlimited purchases for miles…and then it went back down to a 25,000 mile limit.

Lufthansa Credit Card

As you know, I apply for a new batch of cards every 91 days. During each “chrurn,” I limit the applications to one per bank. It’s always nice to find new options outside the usual banks (Chase, Citibank, etc). That being said, I know Barclays has ridiculously bad customer service. But to be fair, they also have some solid bonuses. If you’re looking for a Barclays option on your next churn, the Lufthansa MasterCard is a good one to check out here.

(Note:If you still don’t have the US Airways card, it’s a better Barclays choice for most people).
