Usually, it’s the earlier the better. But fares can sometimes go down. Use the very cool predictor tool at www.farecast.com to get an idea if your desired flight will get cheaper or not. Also, airlines tend to charge their premium fares on weekends. It’s a good idea to buy midweek (Tuesday through Thursday). Sites like orbitz, priceline, expedia, airfarewatchdog, and kayak are still great options in addition to buying direct from the airline websites.
Miles for Eating at Restaurants

You should be earning double miles at your favorite restaurants (from using your mileage card, and from having that card registered on Rewards Network).
